Students & Parents
The Miami Valley Tech Prep Consortium (MVTPC) is a unique organization whose mission is to help students meaningfully experience a career technical field of study at the high school level while simultaneously providing the opportunity to engage with Sinclair and employers to develop students who are college bound and career ready. Students who elect to participate in a Career Technical Education (CTE) program at an MVTPC partner school district have access to the following benefits:
- Connect to their future career by participating in Sinclair Career Exploration Events
- Showcase their skills by competing at the annual Sinclair Tech Prep Showcase and other career technical student organizations
- Earn high school and college credit through their career technical education courses at no cost to families
- Earn scholarships to attend Sinclair, including eligibility for a $3,000 Sinclair Tech Prep scholarship and summer semester awards
Students who complete their CTE program and graduate from MVTPC partner schools are prepared to pursue and complete a wide variety of Sinclair certificates and degree programs in preparation for industry specific jobs and/or additional post-secondary education at four-year colleges and universities.
